By plane or bus:
Dane County Regional Airport (MSN) provides nonstop service to 24 destinations. The hotel is about 20 minutes driving distance from the airport, or about 45 minutes by local bus. The organizer used Madison public transportation for years and would be happy to provide tips.
Milwaukee and Chicago provide more nonstop destinations and often lower-cost flights. Badger Bus provides service from Milwaukee Airport and several other Milwaukee-area locations. CoachUSA/Van Galder provides service from Chicago’s O’Hare and Midway Airports to Memorial Union, in addition to Rockford, Janesville, and South Beloit. In addition, Megabus provides service from downtown Minneapolis, St. Paul, and Chicago. Choose the UW or Memorial Union stop for arrival in Madison; the stop is about 10 minutes by taxi, or 15 minutes by bus, from the hotel.
By car:
From Chicago and other points south and southeast: Take I-90 to Exit 142A in Wisconsin (US 12/18 West). Follow 12/18 to exit 263 (John Nolen Drive). Turn left on N Shore Dr (the first left after crossing Lake Monona). Road curves right and becomes Proudfit St. At the traffic light, continue straight onto Regent St. After about 1.5 mile, turn right onto Allen St, then left at end onto University Ave. Hotel will be on right after a couple of blocks.
From Twin Cities and points northwest of Madison: Follow I-90/94 to Exit 92 (US-12) east. Follow signs to stay on US-12, which takes several turns. After about 40 miles, take exit 251A, and turn left off ramp onto University Ave. After about five miles, the road will split; keep right to stay on University Ave. Make first left onto Highland Ave., then turn right into Best Western parking lot at corner.

Continue straight onto Johnson St (do not turn left to continue on WI-113). You will eventually find yourself on Gorham St, which becomes University Avenue. Road will split with University Avenue on left and Campus Dr on right; keep left to stay on University. Hotel will be on the right, just under one mile after the split.
